As part of my ongoing outreach to all communities across Garissa County, I had the privilege of meeting elders and respected community representatives of the Mohamed Subeer family, who proudly call Garissa home. These engagements are central to my deliberate effort to listen, learn, and work with all resident communities to advance shared goals and inclusive leadership.
I am deeply encouraged by the Mohamed Subeer family’s expressed willingness to actively support my bid for the Garissa gubernatorial seat in 2027, reinforcing the collective spirit I have witnessed across the county in previous engagements.
Later, I held a constructive discussion with members of the Garre community, during which we exchanged ideas on my vision for the county. The deliberations emphasized the crucial role of their support in ensuring effective governance and sustainable development. I was greatly encouraged by their positive reception and clear commitment to support my bid in the 2027 elections.
Continuing this community engagement journey, I also met representatives of the Degodia community, who have for many years been a vibrant and prominent part of Garissa’s rich mosaic of clans. These discussions reaffirmed our shared commitment to inclusive county governance, acknowledging our past while focusing on a future of unity, opportunity, and development. The Degodia representatives conveyed a clear and unwavering commitment to support my leadership.
Engaging these communities strengthens our shared vision for Garissa: a county where all residents, regardless of clan or background, have a voice and are part of the decision-making process. Together, with the support of these communities and the guidance of the UDA party and President William Ruto, we are building a foundation for inclusive, people-centered governance that will drive prosperity and unity across Garissa County.
